    The importance of this contribution cannot be minimized.   We have had to fabricate a unique hydraulic based undersea excavation system to be employed in our investigations of our historic 17^th century shipwreck site.   Working in a marine environment, with all the forces a seaway - within a surf zone can create under the beast of circumstances hydraulic leaks and hose failures are bound to occur.
